Software Engineer – Backend

About the Role

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll own services end-to-end from API design to reliability, performance, and data integrity working closely with product and frontend teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Collaborate with frontend and product on clear contracts and delivery
• Write reliable, well-tested code with strong observability
• Improve system performance, security, and operational excellence
• Participate in design reviews and technical planning
• Support production systems with a bias toward root-cause fixes

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, or similar
• Experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with relational and/or document databases
• Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and security basics
• Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and cloud environments
• Clear communication and ownership mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Familiarity with message queues and event-driven systems
• Experience with Docker and infrastructure as code
• Prior work on SaaS or multi-tenant products
